You live on one side of the border. Your taxes live on both.
US citizens and green card holders file with the IRS wherever they live. Canada taxes its residents. Move in either direction and that year lands on both sides. We prepare both returns together, current year and back years.
Email us a line about your situation and two times that suit you. We reply to confirm a slot.
Who this is for
If any of these is you, your taxes cross the border too.
- You are a US citizen or green card holder living in Canada, and you have only ever filed the Canadian side.
- You are Canadian, you took a job in the US, and you are not sure what Canada still expects from you.
- You moved across the border this year, in either direction, and the move year has to land correctly on both sides.
- You have years of US returns you never filed, and you want to know what getting current takes.
- You hold RSUs, rental property or accounts in the other country, and you are not certain whether FBAR or T1135 applies.
- Your last accountant handled one side and went quiet when you asked about the other.
Recognise yourself in one of these? Book the consult and we will tell you which returns are open on each side, what each one takes, and what it costs, before you commit to anything.

What changes a fee
Your fee is scoped and agreed in writing before we start. It moves for one reason only: the work moves. These are the things that change it.
- Filing both sides instead of one
- A move year added to the file
- Additional filing years, including a catch-up
- RSUs, rental income or additional state returns
- Foreign corporations or funds that carry their own reporting
- A spouse or partner added to the engagement
Anything that changes the fee is agreed with you before the work happens. Never after.
Fixed fees
How cross-border personal tax is priced here
Every fee is fixed, quoted on the consult, and confirmed in writing before any work starts. A standard file is both returns, joint or individual, with employment income and little else.
Cross-Border Personal Tax
Your Canadian and US returns prepared together, joint or individual, with T4 or W-2 income and the foreign tax credits lined up.
from $1,050 CAD
- Canadian and US returns prepared and filed

- CFA-led advisory
Both sides in detail on Cross-Border US and Canada Tax. One side only? See US Tax or Canadian Tax, from $525 CAD. Foreign accounts, RSUs or rental income as well? See FBAR and T1135 Reporting, from $1,540 CAD with returns. Full fee logic on How Our Fees Work.
2-minute check
Do you owe FBAR or T1135 reporting as well?
Accounts and property you kept in the other country can trigger a separate reporting form on top of your return. Answer two questions and we will point you in the right direction.
Reporting detail lives on FBAR and T1135 Reporting.
Thresholds are indicative and change. A consult confirms your exact obligations. Indicative only, not tax advice.
