SV FINANCIAL CONSULTING CORPORATION is an Ontario corporation providing cross border tax and financial consulting.

Members of our team hold the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. That is the credential we advertise, and it is the credential our published material is written under.

3. What this firm is not

SV FINANCIAL CONSULTING CORPORATION is not a CPA firm. We do not hold ourselves out as a CPA firm, we do not offer public accounting, audit, review, or other assurance services, and nothing on this website should be read as an offer of those services.

Where an engagement requires work that must be performed or signed by a licensed practitioner, that work is performed or signed off by a licensed practitioner of record, and we tell you who that is before the engagement begins.

4. Cross border outcomes depend on your facts

Cross border tax results turn on details: residency and tie breaker status, citizenship, immigration status, days present in each country, entity type, source of income, treaty positions, foreign reporting obligations, and the filing history behind all of it. Two people with the same job title and the same income can have completely different obligations.

5. No guarantee of outcomes

We do not guarantee any refund amount, tax saving, filing outcome, acceptance of a position, response time from a tax authority, or resolution of a dispute. Tax authorities make their own determinations. Law, rates, thresholds, forms, and treaty interpretations change, sometimes retroactively.

6. Fee information on this site is illustrative

Fee figures shown anywhere on this site are illustrative starting points in the currency marked. They are not quotes, not offers, and not a fee schedule you can rely on. A binding fee is set in a written engagement agreement after we review your situation.

7. Engagement happens only through a signed agreement

Reading this site, submitting a form, booking a consultation, downloading a resource, sending a message, or speaking with us on the phone or over WhatsApp does not create a professional relationship or any duty of care.

We act for you only after both sides sign a written engagement agreement setting out the scope, the deliverables, the responsibilities of each side, and the fee. Until that agreement is signed, do not send us confidential documents or sensitive identifiers.
