Accessibility

1. Our commitment

SV FINANCIAL CONSULTING CORPORATION wants everyone to be able to read our pages, book a consultation, and reach a person, regardless of ability or the technology they use.

We build and maintain svfinancial.ca against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we work to meet our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.

2. What we do

• Structure pages with real headings, landmarks, and lists so screen readers can navigate them.
• Write meaningful alternative text for images that carry information.
• Label every form field, and pair error messages with the field they belong to.
• Keep text and interactive elements at contrast ratios that meet Level AA.
• Make everything reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Keep layouts readable when text is enlarged and on small screens.
• Avoid content that flashes, and let users pause or stop motion where motion is used.
• Write in plain language, and explain cross border tax terms the first time they appear.

3. Known limitations

We test as we build, and some areas still need work. Known items are listed here and updated as they are fixed.

• Third party embeds, including the booking calendar, chat widget, and any review widget, are controlled by their vendors. Their accessibility is assessed on integration and again on each vendor update. Where an embed falls short, we provide an equivalent path such as a phone number, an email address, and a plain form.
• Interactive tools, including the eligibility quiz, are being reviewed for full keyboard operation and screen reader announcement of results.
• Documents offered for download are being reviewed for tagged structure and reading order.
• Any video published will carry captions, and a transcript will be provided.

4. Conformance status

Target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Current status: under assessment. A formal conformance claim will be published here once the pre launch audit is complete. Testing combines automated checks with manual keyboard and screen reader review.

5. If something does not work for you

Tell us and we will fix it, and in the meantime we will get you the information or the appointment another way.

Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, what happened, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and to give you a plan or a fix within 15 business days.

You can also ask for any information on this site in an accessible format or with communication support. We will consult with you on a suitable format and provide it at no extra cost, as AODA requires.

6. Feedback process

Accessibility feedback is logged, assigned an owner, and tracked to closure. A summary of what we changed is reflected in the known limitations list and in the version date at the top of this page.
