Who this is for

If any of these is you, we can file it.

  • You are an Ontario resident and your personal T1 is due.
  • You run an Ontario corporation and the T2 is due, with or without books to clean up first.
  • You hold foreign property or assets and you are not certain whether T1135 applies to you.
  • You are a US person living in Canada and the Canadian side has to line up with the US side.
  • You moved into or out of Canada this year and you have a part-year residency position to take.
  • Rental income, self-employment, or investment activity made this year's return more than a one-form job.

Recognise yourself in one of these? Book the consult and we will tell you exactly what has to be filed and what it costs, before you commit to anything.

  • GST/HST return preparation where you are registered
  • Part-year and residency-change positions
  • One named person who owns the file end to end

  • CFA-led advisory
  • Sign-off by a licensed practitioner of record

What changes a fee

Your fee is scoped and agreed in writing before we start. It moves for one reason only: the work moves. These are the things that change it.

  • Additional filing years
  • Rental or self-employment schedules beyond a standard set
  • Bookkeeping cleanup needed before a corporate return can be prepared
  • A residency determination that needs a formal position
  • A spouse or partner filing added to the engagement
  • Foreign property reporting beyond a standard set

Anything that changes the fee is agreed with you before the work happens. Never after.

Fixed fees

How a Canadian return is priced here

Every fee is fixed, quoted on the consult, and confirmed in writing before any work starts. Corporate returns are scoped on the consult, because a T2 depends on the state of the books behind it.

2-minute check

Does T1135 apply to you?

Foreign property over the reporting threshold triggers a T1135, and the threshold is aggregate, so people miss it. Answer two questions and we will point you in the right direction.

Questions

Canadian filing questions we get every week

Do you file corporate T2 returns as well as personal?
Yes. Ontario corporations are regular work here, including the GST/HST returns that sit alongside them. A corporate fee is scoped on the consult rather than published, because a T2 depends on the state of the books behind it. You get the number in writing before anything starts.
I hold property outside Canada. Does T1135 apply to me?
Holding specified foreign property over $100,000 CAD in aggregate cost points to a T1135 requirement. What counts is narrower than most people assume, and the threshold is aggregate rather than per-item. Run the filing check above for an indicative answer, then book a consult to confirm. Indicative only, not tax advice.
My books are behind. Can you still file the corporate return?
Yes, and cleanup is part of the scope we quote. We look at what state the records are in, tell you how much work it takes to get them ready, and put both the cleanup and the return into one fixed fee. Ongoing monthly work is on Bookkeeping.
Who reviews and signs my return?
A tax consultant reviews every return before filing, and returns are reviewed and signed off by a licensed practitioner of record. The full detail is on our credential disclosure page.
How is my fee set?
The consult is where we scope your actual situation and confirm a fixed fee in writing. You will know the number before you agree to anything, not after.
